![]() It is often possible to sneak around a lizard to get the drop on them in combat, or to avoid them entirely. Lizards have on average a 251° (citation needed) sight range, which varies by breeding, and can hear and investigate noises caused by the Slugcat or other prey. Lizards rely on both sight and sound to perceive their prey. Additionally their vision is also affected by player movement, distance and bodies of water. Lizard vision is better in close frontal regions(red/yellow tiles), but worse so in the periphery(blue/green tiles). While most Lizards crawl like any normal lizards, Green Lizards appear to haul themselves along the floor like lumbering buffoons or baboons or ancient crocodiles, much like modern day crocodiles. Lizards have a wide variety of maneuverability, with some Lizards able to climb poles and other Lizards able to climb walls on the background. Backflipping over it is safer, but also more much difficult (i.e. Most non-pole-climbing varieties of Lizards can be jumped or slide-flipped or turn-flipped over without too much trouble, as it takes them a moment to crawl-turn around, though if the player does not jump high enough they may be bitten out of the air by the hungry jaws of the Lizard. ![]() Lizards are more intelligent than Slugcat, however slugcat benefits from being puppetted/controlled by the slugcat player character gamer, and may be outmaneuvered during a chase. However, while on a pole, the player will quickly be caught by the polling lizard. Whether crawling on poles or walking on the ground, Lizards always maintain the same speed, slower than Slugcat's pole crawling speed but faster than Slugcat's walking speed, which means the player can outrun lizards by climbing poles instead of walking.
